Mina Sadati Wins Award at Beijing Festival
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The 8th Beijing International Film Festival concluded on April 22 announcing the winners with Iranian actress Mina Sadati receiving the best supporting actress award for her performance in ‘Searing Summer’ directed by Ebrahim Irajzad.
In the valedictory ceremony attended by Sadati, Irajzad and Yasna Mir-Tahmasb, also a cast member, Sadati dedicated her award to all the women of her homeland, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
The screenplay, written by Payam Karami, gives a depiction of the problems of class segregation as well as the problems of women in modern Iran.
