TEHRAN –(Iranart)-Two-time Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi won Grand prix at Cannes Film Festival

The 74th annual Cannes Film Festival  took place from 6 to 17 July 2021. The 2021 Cannes Festival Jury helmed by Spike Lee announced its list of winning films and filmmakers from the competition.

French filmmaker Julia Ducournau has become only the second female director to win the Palme d'Or, the Cannes Film Festival's top prize, for her film "Titane."

Palme d’Or: "Titane" by Julia Ducournau

Actor: Caleb Landry Jones for "Nitram"

Actress: Renate Reinsvefor " The Worst Person in the World"

Director: Leos Carax, Annette for "Annette" 

Grand Prix:  Asghar Farhadi For "A Hero" and Juho Kuosmanen for "Compartment No. 6" 

Jury Prize:  Nadav Lapid for "Ahed’s Knee" and Apichatpong Weerasethakul for "Memoria"

Screenplay: Ryusuke Hamaguchi and Takamasa Oe for "Drive My Car," 

Camera d'Or : Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic for "Murina"

Short Film Palme D'Or:  "All The Crows In The World" by Tang Yi
