Iran’s ‘The Badger’ to stream online
TEHRAN.(Iranart) –The Iranian feature film, ‘The Badger,’ directed by Kazem Molaie, will stream online on Filimo and Namava, the Iranian platforms providing video on demand, as of Thursday.
Made in 2019, the film’s producers decided to stream the film online due to large number of infections in the country, IRNA reported.
‘The Badger’ is about a woman named Soodeh Sharifzadegan who is involved with a difficult challenge in her life while she is close to her second marriage.
Vishka Asayesh, Hassan Majooni, Mehraveh Sharifi-Nia, and Gohar Kheirandish are among the film’s cast.
The film premiered at the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival in China in 2019, and has so far participated in over 30 film festivals and won 14 international awards.
The 19th Riverside International Film Festival in the Inland Empire region of Southern California has recently given the Iranian drama the Best Audience Award, the Best Actor Award and the President Award for its ensemble cast.
Recently, ‘The Badger’ won the Best Narrative Film Award at the 27th edition of the Austin Film Festival in the U.S., the Best Foreign Film Award at the Berkeley Video & Film Festival in the U.S., as well as the Best Film Award at the sixth BangkokThai International Film Festival in Thailand.
