ECO Cultural Institute, Niavaran Cultural Center ink MoU

TEHRAN.(Iranart) –ECO Cultural Institute and Niavaran Cultural Center signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate, strengthen and expand the cultural interactions in the fields of culture and civilization.

The ceremony was attended by the president of ECO Cultural Institute, Sarvar Bakhti, adviser to the deputy minister and director of Niavaran Cultural Center, Ebadreza Eslami-Koolaei, and writer-cum-director of performing arts at ECO Cultural Institute, Hassan Dolatabadi, according to IRNA.

Referring to the effective role of important cultural centers of ECO countries in cooperating with this institute in terms of holding cultural programs, he said, “I am very pleased to have signed the first MoU with the Niavaran Cultural Center. Our joint programs would take valuable steps in sustaining various cultural activities.”

Eslami-Koolaei said that the Niavaran Cultural Center intends to play a significant role in cultural interactions by holding international programs with the participation of prominent artists from ECO member countries.

He expressed hope that the outcome of such agreements will lead to introducing new dignitaries in presenting the arts and culture of ECO member countries to the world.

Holding biennials, conferences and joint cultural meetings with the presence of cultural figures, holding educational workshops with prominent professors in attendance, conducting joint cultural weeks in Niavaran Cultural Center and in ECO member countries were among the subjects of the agreement.

The agreement also entails cooperation in implementing joint cultural activities in the fields of poetry, literature, music, theater, visual arts, cinema as well as traditional arts and handicrafts to introduce the cultural commonalities of ECO member states.
