TEHRAN.(Iranart)-The museums will remain closed in Iranian cities coded red amid the fourth wave of COVID-19 infections in the country.
Mohammadreza Kargar, the head of the museums at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, on Monday said the National Task Force for Fighting the Coronavirus is yet to issue a new instruction over the reopening of museums in red zones, IRNA reported.
Museums have been shut down in red cities since April 6 due to a surge in coronavirus cases and deaths in Iran.
The Health Ministry on Monday reported 18,408 new cases for the past 24 hours, 351 of which were fatal.
A number of 46 cities have been announced as red in the country.
