  • TEHRAN –(Iranart) - Over half of the art may have been guaranteed to sell before this year’s Baran Handwriting Impression & Calligraphy Auction even got underway in Tehran on Friday, 22 February. But the auction, no doubt, set a new record for a single sale, selling 11,769,000,000 billion tomans of art.

  • The third edition of Baran Handwriting Impression and Calligraphy Auction and exhibition began work on Tuesday at the Rayzan International Conference Hall. A metal engraving featuring verses of the Holy Quran fetched 77 billion rials (over $1.8 million) during the auction, which is dedicated to the sale of inscription impressions and calligraphy works.
