China Tourism Expo Opens with Iran's presence

TEHRAN.(Iranart) –China International Tourism Industry Expo, which is also known as CITIE, opened in China’s Guangdong on Friday with the presence of various countries including Iran.

The three-day event at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, will end on September 13.

Over 1000 companies, from 40 countries, are taking part in the exhibition.

Iran’s pavilion was set up at the exhibition by the Consulate General of Iran in Guangzhou. Iran’s tourist attractions and handicrafts are being displayed there, and it has been highly welcomed by visitors.

Iran entered the list of China’s tourist destinations in 2011, and since 2016 has put the policy of attracting Chinese tourists on the agenda.

Accordingly, Chinese travelers visiting Iran for tourism or business do not need visas anymore, confirmed the Chinese Embassy in Iran in July 2019.

The expo has been successfully held since 2005.

Being a professional platform for sharing worldwide information, purchasing products, and business development for exhibitors and buyers, CITIE facilitates building the Greater Bay Area into a world-class culture and tourism destination.

With years of brand development, CITIE has become the best market-oriented international tourism exhibition in China.
