IranArt: The CEO of the Social Security Tourism Holding Company (Hegta) announced the implementation of several new projects in the field of medical infrastructure and integrated health tourism services.

Alireza Tabesh said that the executive operations of a “Health Village” project have begun at the Anzali Coastal Village Company in cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

Explaining the project, he added that the Health Center at the Bandar Anzali Coastal Village is a multifunctional project consisting of health services, medical treatment, accommodation, and hospitality sections, and it is expected to be inaugurated within the next four months.

The CEO of Hegta also said that planning is underway at the Iran Abadgaran complex in Mashhad to establish another health tourism village.

Tabesh also announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Ardabil Governor’s Office for the development of the Qeynarjeh Nir Health Village in Ardabil. He stated that the project is being pursued by the Anzali Coastal Village Company with the aim of utilizing the region’s therapeutic mineral waters and attracting domestic and foreign investors.

He further referred to measures taken in the field of accommodation for health tourists, stating that the Homa Hotels Group has recently hosted health tourists directly from Iraq and Kuwait.

The CEO of Hegta added that, for the first time, special rooms for international patients have been established within the hotel group to provide specialized accommodation, reception, and medical support services for foreign patients.

Tabesh also announced the launch of the “Health Tourism Train” project for the first time, in cooperation with the Faculty of Traditional Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University, Tamin Agency, and Raja Rail Transportation Company, noting that it received widespread استقبال (welcome/reception).

According to him, services such as medical checkups, massage therapy, and health-oriented catering were provided to passengers during the trip.

Tabesh emphasized that utilizing the capacities of traditional medicine and relaxation-oriented services can increase the attractiveness of Iran’s health tourism packages.

At the meeting, the Deputy for Treatment Affairs of the Social Security Organization also stressed the importance of continuing these initiatives and announced support for Hegta’s valuable efforts in launching health tourism villages, the health tourism train, and the use of traditional medicine capacities, adding that the deputy office is ready to cooperate further in this field.
