  • TEHRAN –(Iranart)-The Iranian Artists Forum played host to a ceremony on 27 September to honor Iranian painter and a professor of art, Mohsen Vaziri-Moghaddam. The program was co-hosted by the Association of Iranian Sculptors, his family, Aydin Aghdashloo and Hamid Shans. Vaziri-Moghaddam (May 26, 1924 – 7 September 7, 2018), has been described as the Pioneer of Modern Iranian Abstraction.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) - The City Theater of Tehran continues to play host to passion plays in the mourning month of Muharram which marks the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS), the third Shia Imam. The passion play theater has a long tradition in Iran, the play of the suffering and martyrdom of Imam Hossein and his 72 companions in the day of Ashura.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian Art Museum Garden in Tehran is playing host to an exhibition of lifelong works and achievements by Iranian film director Khosro Sinai. The two-week program is dubbed Like a Tale.

  • TEHRAN (Iranart) - Seyhoun Art Gallery is playing host to a new painting exhibition by Saeed Khazaei. Dubbed Rostam’s Seven Labours, the exhibition will run through until 20 June.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) - Vahdat Hall played host to a special event on Sunday to see off the national football team to the upcoming World Cup in Russia. Tehran Symphony Orchestra performed live to the audience with singer Salar Aghili at the helm.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Vahdat Hall on Friday night was host to a performance by Tehran Symphony Orchestra. The one-off program was conducted by Shahrdad Rouhani.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A collection of paintings by Shirin Ettehadieh is underway at the Gallery of Shirin until May 9.

  • TEHRAN –(Iranart)- The Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran is playing host to an exhibition titled Underworld by Italian photographer Aldo Salucci. Salucci, who is a lover of marine sports and diving, has put on display a collection of his marine photos that opened on Friday. The event offers an intellectual milieu that values the scholarly reassessment of pivotal ideas in art, innovative practices, and complex and competing visions of modern and contemporary art.

  • TEHRAN.(Iranart) – An annual multi-platform event held in Tehran, the 36th edition of Fajr Film Festival came to a close on Sunday after presenting a rich and diverse programme of national premieres, industry masterclasses, pop-up screenings and immersive press conference and live events. Chief guests Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Head of Iranian Cinema Organization Mohammad Mehdi Heydarian along with a host of artisans, industry officials and fans attended the closing ceremony at the Milad Tower.
