Iran, Turkmenistan have common ground for joint TV productions: IRIB CEO
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Managing Director Abdolali Ali-Asgari has said that Iran and Turkmenistan have much in common concerning topics for joint TV productions.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Turkmenistan Deputy Culture Minister Bahar Abdiyeva during the General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, IRIB announced on Saturday.
He said that cultural luminaries such as the Persian poet and mystic Abu Said Abul-Khayr and the Turkmen spiritual leader and philosophical poet Magtymguly Pyragy can be topics for cooperation between the two countries.
Ali-Asgari also said that IRIB is ready to share its experience in making TV series and programs with the country by organizing short-term courses at IRIB University.
He also expressed his thanks to Abdiyeva over organizing the General Assembly of the ABU in Ashgabat.
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, professional association with a mandate to assist in the development of broadcasting in the region.
