Vocalist Mohammad Motamedi to perform “My Mother Persia” with Antalya orchestra
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Antalya State Symphony Orchestra has invited Iranian vocalist Mohammad Motamedi to accompany his fellow conductor of the orchestra, Ali (Alexander) Rahbari, in a concert, during which Rahbari’s suite “My Mother Persia” will be performed.
The performances will be organized at Aspendos Hall in Antalya on April 27, the organizers have announced.
Partly inspired by “O, Iran”, a composition by the prominent musician and composer Ruhollah Khaleqi, the suite is composed of seven movements, each dedicated to one prominent Persian musician.
Mohammadreza Shajarian, Hossein Alizadeh, Hossein Dehlavi, Mostafa-Kamal Purtorab, Ruhollah Khaleqi and Rahmatollah Badiei are the musicians commemorated in the suite. Rahbari has also commemorated his mother, Hamdam, in the suite.
