The 16th season of ArtDubai will start in Madinat Jumeirah from 3-5 March 2023
The 16th season of ArtDubai is officially set to return to Madinat Jumeirah from 3-5 March 2023 showcasing prominent exhibitors and debutants from around the world.
Iranart:The three-day event will display artworks across sections such as Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba and Digital. From artist-led workshops for children from the ages of five to seven to talks, education programs, conferences and installations, there is plenty to see and do.
CONTEMPORARY
Art Dubai Contemporary showcases galleries from around the world, ranging from emerging art scenes to established centers, presenting solo or group shows and offering new global perspectives to help cultivate a culture of discovery.

MODERN
Art Dubai Modern is a one of a kind platform, focusing on Modern art from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. The section will focus on solo shows dedicated to a particular period or thematic dialogue and feature artists working between the 1950s and 1990s whose works are retrospectively playing a key role in today’s artistic landscape.
Art Dubai Modern 2023 is co-curated by Mouna Mekouar, art critic, curator and art historian, and Lorenzo Giusti, curator and Director of GAMeC, Bergamo (Italy).
BAWWABA
Bawwaba, meaning gateway in Arabic, serves as a portal to discovery of works created in the past year or specifically for the fair, offering visitors a curated reading of current artistic developments across wide geographical scopes across “The Global South”, via ambitious solo artist presentations.
Art Dubai Bawwaba 2023 is curated by Vipash Purichanont, independent curator and lecturer at Silpakorn University.
DIGITAL
Art Dubai Digital returns for its 2nd edition and invites an expanded array of disciplines and practices to interact with each other by looking at the intersection of art, design, music, fashion, and world-building in order to expand our understanding of new media and movements in culture.
Art Dubai Digital 2023 is curated by Clara Che Wei Peh, curator, arts writer, and educator.
