  • Finnish Film Week Opens at Iranian Artists Forum

    The Iranian Artists Forum hosted the opening ceremony of the Finnish Film Week on Saturday. The ceremony was attended by Finland Ambassador to Tehran Keijo Norvanto as well as dignitaries from several other countries. Movies from Finnish filmmakers will be reviewed during a weeklong festival, which will be held in Tehran, Isfahan and Mashhad from September 28 to October 4. Over 15 short and feature films will go on screen during the festival, which will be held in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland in Tehran.

    A Painting exhibition featuring Ali Ghahremani artworks is underway at Tehran’s Seyhoun Gallery until 9 October. The show is titled Baadeh Sabah (The Lovers' Wind).

  • Kenro Izu Photo Exhibition at Tehran Art Gallery

    Nabshi Center in Tehran is the venue for a photography exhibition by Japanese photographer Kenro Izu until 1 November. The collection includes photos from his series Sacred Places, Still Life and Blue. Kenro Izu was born in Osaka, Japan. Izu moved to New York in 1970 to study photography, and subsequently decided to stay and work there. Since 1979, in addition to his well established commercial work, Izu began his serious professional commitment to his fine art photography, traveling the world to capture the sacred ancient stone monuments in their natural settings. The exhibition is inaugurated by Hossein Farmani's collaboration, and the artworks are part of the ceaseless treasure of the "Kashan Gallery".
